Morocco trips are suitable for all types of vans.
Here's a (non-exhaustive) list of the most suitable vehicles.
On the whole, the trails are easy and perfectly suited to vans.
A 4×4 transmission (or reinforced 2-wheel drive) will provide comfort on the trickiest stretches.
Our road trips are off-road excursions, but by no means "extreme RAIDs" for Land Rover.
In terms of preparation, we recommend the following (in order of priority)
1 - Tires
2 - Sheet metal rims
3 - Protections (engine, tank, gearbox)
4 - Suspension
5 - Anything to please you, but don't forget the weight! 😉
Yes, but adjustments can be made to suit local conditions.
Please note that air suspension systems are not widely used in Morocco.
Consequently, suppliers of this type of equipment are non-existent on site, which means you won't find any assistance in the event of a technical problem.
The weak points of these installations seem to be well known by now, so we strongly encourage you to bring along replacement parts (e.g. flange) which could possibly (without any guarantee) be installed by a local mechanical workshop.
In the event of a problem, the organization team will do its utmost to help you as much as possible.
To avoid exorbitant costs, we can only recommend that you check that you have repatriation assistance for your vehicle, since this type of breakdown, in particular, is (as far as we know) not (or hardly ...) repairable on the spot.
You can organize your own crossing from Genoa, Marseille or Sète (budget approx. 1,300 euros).
There are also daily crossings between Algeciras and Tangiers for a budget of around 200 Euros. We invite you to visit the Maroc Ferry website.
Based on our recent experience, the crossing from Algeciras is by far our preference. It's also the best way to enjoy Spain.
No, everyone leaves at the time they want, stopping wherever they feel like, depending on their interests (hiking, museums, etc.).
This is made possible by our Tripy, an easy-to-use digital roadbook. So you're perfectly autonomous on the trail. In the evening, you meet up with the rest of the group at the bivouac to share the best moments of the day.
We take care of the road and off-road itinerary, and the authorizations required to set up
a bivouac in the wilderness or in an unusual location.
You're on your own between the meeting points (unless otherwise specified), and all participants meet up in the evening at the bivouac to share the best moments of the day.

A Tripy (electronic road book) will be given to you at the start of the route. Follow the itinerary at your own pace, and meet us at the bivouac at the end of the day,

Your "VanLife officer" - in other words, your on-site guide - will make sure your trip runs smoothly.
He's on the course, in front or behind you, throughout your stay. You can reach him at any time.
Our road trips are " family friendly ", so bring your kids!
For greater comfort, we recommend a minimum age of 4 years.
To make the most of your trip, we recommend that you take out cancellation and repatriation insurance with your company or witha company such as Chapka.
This information is current at the time of booking, but is subject to change.
For a stay in Morocco, a valid passport is required for the entire duration of the planned stay.
